HigGloveNg V1.0.6 Release Notes

02

Update Overview

HigGloveNg V1.0.6 focuses on improvements and fixes for VMC data output, VRChat finger bending performance, left-hand initial pose behavior, device offset parameters, and mixed tracking configurations.

This update improves the stability and continuity of finger tracking data, enhances hand pose behavior across several device combinations, and optimizes offset parameters when using trackers with Space Calibrator.

Update Recommendation

All HigGloveNg Consumer Edition users are encouraged to update to V1.0.6 for more stable VMC data output, smoother VRChat finger bending, improved device compatibility, and a better mixed tracking experience.

03

Main Updates

VMC Function Fixes and Improvements

Fixed an issue where some finger bending poses could appear abnormal during VMC data transmission. The VMC data output function has also been improved. After this update, HigGloveNg can transmit finger tracking data through VMC to Warudo and other software that supports the VMC protocol. Abnormal finger pose data is corrected to improve the final finger motion display.

VRChat Finger Bending Performance Optimization

Optimized the VRChat finger bending function and refactored the related algorithm code. This adjustment improves finger tracking data update efficiency, enhances response speed and continuity, and reduces possible discontinuity during finger movement.

Left-Hand Initial Finger Pose Fix

Fixed an issue where the left middle finger, ring finger, and little finger could show abnormal initial poses on certain VR devices under specific streaming methods. This issue could prevent these fingers from fully extending at the initial state. After the update, the related fingers can open normally and display the correct initial pose.

Device Offset and Mixed Tracking Parameter Optimization

Optimized offset parameters for currently supported devices. The related parameters have been tested and adjusted to improve positioning performance across different device combinations. This update also adjusts offset parameters when using trackers with Space Calibrator, simplifying mixed tracking setup and improving the actual user experience.

Important Usage Notes

Device Option Selection

In HigGloveNg, the device option should be selected based on the actual VR controller model being used, not the headset model.

Quest headset + Meta Quest Touch Pro controllers Select Quest Pro
Pimax headset + Valve Index Knuckles controllers Select Valve Index
HTC VIVE headset + Valve Index Knuckles controllers Select Valve Index
Other headset and controller combinations Select the option based on the actual controller model in use

For non-standard combinations, prioritize the controller model that is currently connected and used for hand positioning.

SlimeVR and ReboCap Compatibility Notice

The actual tracking performance of SlimeVR and ReboCap depends on the hand pose calibration accuracy of the devices themselves. If the hand pose calibration contains errors, noticeable position or pose offsets may occur during use.

Recommended Use Cases

SlimeVR and ReboCap are more suitable for dancing, motion display, and other scenarios where hand positioning accuracy requirements are relatively low. For scenarios requiring higher tracking precision, stability, or motion consistency, dedicated trackers or VR controllers are recommended.
