Model Finger Bone Requirements and Movement Verification
The model and receiver must be able to use VMC finger bone data. This page only describes the movement verification method and does not provide a model format compatibility list.
Requirements
- The model has finger bones that the receiver can drive.
- The receiver can apply the received VMC finger bone data to the model.
- The left and right hands and all five fingers have been calibrated and display correctly in HiggloveNg.
Verification sequence
-
Verify the left and right hands.
Move the left and right hands separately and confirm that they are not swapped on the model.
-
Verify individual fingers.
Starting with the index finger, bend each finger in turn. Confirm that the corresponding model finger responds rather than the entire hand applying a fixed gesture.
-
Verify an open hand and a fist.
Using natural force, open your hand, make a half fist, and make a fist. Check that the movement is continuous.
-
Check for data overrides.
If the movement jitters or repeatedly jumps, check whether another finger-tracking data source is writing to the model at the same time.
Completion criteria
The model's left and right hands are mapped correctly. Individual finger bends, opening the hand, and making a fist respond continuously without obvious contention from duplicate inputs.
