1.1 Degrees of Freedom and Usage Limits
HIG Glove can capture the basic bending movements of the thumb, index finger, middle finger, ring finger and little finger respectively.
What the Glove Captures
- Five fingers are bent and straightened respectively.
- Natural hand opening, fist making, and basic gestures formed by the combination of five-finger bending.
- Finger bend data can be used in HiggloveNg, SteamVR input and applicable applications.
Limitations
- The gloves themselves do not provide the spatial position of the hands in the room.
- The headset, controller, Tracker or other tracking device is responsible for position and orientation.
- Just because a certain device or game has run successfully does not mean that all hardware, software and version combinations are compatible.
Before You Begin
- Prepare Windows 10/11 x64 computer and HiggloveNg Beta 1.0.6.
- Users need to have a set of VR equipment that can be used normally. For specific selection methods, see1.2 Supported equipment and tracking solutions.
- Confirm that the hand position tracking solution can work properly in SteamVR.
