5.1 Troubleshooting
First determine whether the problem belongs to glove fit and hardware, receiver and finger input, position tracking, or a specific application or binding to avoid changing multiple parts of the system at once.
Before You Begin
- Record the Windows, HiggloveNg Beta 1.0.6, SteamVR, VRChat, and related device versions.
- Prepare screenshots or photos, and redact the username, serial number, IP address, port, and project name first.
Steps
- Receiver not recognized: Reconnect it and try another available USB port. Record the software and Windows device status.
- Power LED is blue: This means the glove is not connected. Confirm that the receiver is recognized by the software, then follow the pairing tutorial to pair the glove again.
- Power LED is green, yellow, or red: This means the glove is connected, with the color also indicating the battery level. If the connection is abnormal, continue troubleshooting from the device status shown in the software.
- Finger data jumps or calibration fails: Check glove fit, TMR/N52 contact, and mechanical interference, then recalibrate once.
- Finger input is normal but position is abnormal: Check the controller, Tracker, or other position-tracking path.
- Only VRChat or a game behaves abnormally: Record the current model, binding, application version, and action that reproduces the issue.
Expected Result
The problem has been narrowed down to a single link, or enough information has been gathered for support to reproduce.
If the Check Fails
Stop the operation if the calibration still fails for the second time, pairing fails repeatedly, the hardware is abnormal, or the link cannot be determined. Do not disassemble, flash firmware, or repair by yourself.
