6.1 Maintenance, Storage, and Support

Maintenance focuses on low-risk inspections and proper storage. Cleaning, disassembly, handling of unapproved software or firmware, and repair procedures are not provided in this manual.

Before You Begin

  • End the current use process of SteamVR, VRChat and HiggloveNg.
  • Keep hands and storage area dry and tidy.

Steps

  1. Inspect gloves, data box, wires, TMR/N52 module, receiver and clamps for damage, moisture or foreign matter.
  2. Arrange gloves and cables gently to avoid bending, squeezing, impact, and sharp objects.
  3. Store away from water, fire, high temperature and strong magnetic fields, and do not pile heavy objects on the gloves.
  4. After long-term storage for more than 6 months, complete a complete charge and discharge cycle before reusing it for the first time, and observe whether there is abnormal heat, odor, bulging, or failure to charge normally.
  5. When creating a problem record, save the order information, version, device combination, phenomenon and desensitized pictures.

Expected Result

Product is dry, has no abnormalities, and is properly stored; complete, verifiable information is available when support is needed.

If the Check Fails

Stop using it immediately if there is abnormal heat, odor, bulging, damage, moisture, exposed wires or skin discomfort. Do not clean, disassemble, modify or repair by yourself.
