3.1 Install HiggloveNg Beta 1.0.6
The consumer setup requires Windows 10/11 x64 and HiggloveNg Beta 1.0.6. Before installation, check the download source, installation path and Windows user name.
Download the installation package
- Go to HIGVR Download.
- Download the Windows version labeled HiggloveNg Beta 1.0.6.
- Check the file name and version, and do not use installation packages from unknown sources or from other projects.
Path and username requirements
- The installation path must not contain Chinese characters.
- Use only English letters, numbers, and underscores in the Windows user name. Do not use Chinese characters or other special symbols.
- The path can be checked in the location field of the "Properties" of the downloaded file, e.g.
C:\Users\Username\Downloads.
Complete installation
- Close unnecessary VR apps.
- Run the installer and select a directory that meets the requirements.
- After the installation is complete, start HiggloveNg.
- Record the software version displayed on the interface and confirm that the mainline version is 1.0.6.
Expected Result
HiggloveNg can start normally, the installation path and Windows user name meet the requirements, and the current version has been recorded.
Upgrading from an older version
First uninstall the old version, then delete the original installation folder, and then install the new version. The new program recreates folders to prevent old files from affecting new versions.
If the Check Fails
When installation or startup fails, save the Windows version, installation package name, full path and error screenshot; do not use firmware processing instead of software installation troubleshooting.
