3.4 Degrees of Freedom, Haptic Feedback, and Button Acceptance Testing

Test only the capabilities included in the order. For each item, record the SKU, device ID, project version, expected result, actual result, and evidence.

Movement Acceptance Testing

Configuration Movement Pass Criteria
All configurations Extend and flex each finger individually, then make a natural fist Data is continuous, with no obvious sticking, abrupt jumps, or left/right swaps
6DoF and above Move the thumb outward and inward The direction of movement matches the change in the data
7DoF Independently flex the additional thumb joint The movement can be distinguished from other thumb movements

Optional Capability Acceptance Testing

  • Haptic Feedback Edition: Using the safe test method provided for the project, test all five fingers and the back of each hand, for a total of 6 feedback points per hand.
  • Button expansion module: If included in the order, test the left and right modules separately. Mapping and functionality are defined by the project delivery materials.
  • Multiple pairs of gloves: When testing each pair, only the corresponding asset record may produce a response.
