The Commercial Edition is available in six configurations, combining 5DoF, 6DoF, or 7DoF with either the Standard Edition or Haptic Feedback Edition. Final delivery is subject to the order.
How to Select the Degrees of Freedom
| Degrees of Freedom | Verifiable Motion Differences | Suitable Applications |
|---|---|---|
| 5DoF | Basic flexion of all five fingers | Basic gesture capture, training, and interaction prototyping |
| 6DoF | Adds thumb abduction and adduction to 5DoF | Interactions that require lateral thumb movement |
| 7DoF | Adds independent flexion of one thumb joint to 6DoF | Projects that require more detailed thumb movement |

SDK Applicability
The public Commercial Edition SDK is the shared development entry point for all six configurations. Available motion data, haptic feedback, and button capabilities depend on the purchased SKU. Using the SDK does not add haptic feedback to a Standard Edition glove.
